    Are they worth the additional weight? Would be looking at the large Knico tank.

    No! Get a big pot. I have no personal experience but been warned by folk who know that unless you are prepared to drain them down each night or when you leave the tent there is a risk of the freezing and splitting.

        Agree. Don Kevilus from Four Dog Stoves says to skip the tank and use a teapot or kettle. Simpler and cheaper.

          Glad to know. I wasn't even considering one but that "Duh..." moment about it freezing if not drained wasn't something I'd ever thought about. So glad there are many folks willing to share their collective knowledge. That's what makes this a valuable forum. Thanks!
