I too was out that weekend but up north in NY.
Tell me about the wood? Did you know it was there under the snow, haul it in a short way? Have it stashed someplace.
that’s the toughest part here. We usually have to double back to our cars with empty sleds and get wood ( purchased within 50 miles) and biobricks ( from home) then haul it back to the site.
I’m getting tired doing that.
I should have bought the 4 dog stove years ago, maybe I’ll mention it to my family for a few birthday future presents.
thanks for sharing. Coldfeet👍 1 -

I don't mention exact locations unless it is in the BWCA, State Park, etc. It was next to one of the tributaries of the St. Croix.Comment

MF, I have the 9x11 ST short wall ( think it’s called that, 18”) high, I like it but, yea but, I would also like one with higher walls. Last few times out it was car camping near a spot.
great to be able to rent a stove to test out. Here in NY we can’t cut down anything because guys like me think everything is dead when it’s not. So we have to buy bundles of wood, plus I have those bio bricks. Yea, expensive. I always wondered what goes on in other states. Thanks for sharing. PS, we got app 16” snow here today along the coast of NYC. Very pretty out today.
best wishes.👍 1Comment
