Hey hey!!
I'm Nate from the Twin Cities, MN area. I am a seasoned Boundary Waters paddler and backpacker, but I only have a couple of winter trips under my belt so far.
This past winter, I finally jumped in head first and fully embraced the hot-tenting, toboggan-hauling, wood-chopping, wilderness ways of A Snow Walker's Companion, a book that I've owned and read for over fifteen years.
I built a toboggan, splurged on some good gear and headed to the numbered lakes in early February for a long weekend.
It... was... AMAZING!
What took me so long?! I've always loved winter, but a stove and a canvas tent can totally change the equation... now I can't wait for it to snow again!
This is me, completely and utterly happy.
